Banana Ball brings the greatest show in sports to Lincoln

Game day in Lincoln is a familiar sight for many. Only this time, goal posts were traded for foul poles and yard lines for bases. That iconic Nebraska “sea of red” was now over 85,000 fans dressed in yellow, ready to witness the global phenomenon — Banana Ball. Banana Ball is a fast-paced version of baseball with entertainment at the forefront, that follows 11 rules designed to keep crowds engaged. These rules include a two-hour time limit, no bunting or walks and the ability for fans to catch foul balls to count as outs, among others.
