The Savannah Bananas are coming to Iowa City. Here’s what to expect

The social media phenomenon Savannah Bananas, and their opponents the Firefighters, are making their first-ever appearance in Iowa City July 3 and 4 as part of the 2026 Banana Ball World Tour. The event sold out in 24 hours, and it’s yet another opportunity for the University of Iowa to transform Duke Slater Field into a non-football experience.
